CARTOONS

On May 21, 2022, I spent a day with Prof. Iyad Rahwan in Germany. We spoke about philosophy, ethics, technology, education, and more. During this meeting I learned about Iyad's remarkable Evil AI project, where he uses graphical illustrations to depict complex ideas in machine ethics. It was then that the spark for this project was ignited.

In the past couple of weeks I have drawn a number of cartoons that depict some key ideas, dilemmas, novel studies, and remarkable advances in neuroscience. neural implants, dream recording, brain-machine interfaces, and many more.

 

In the coming weeks I will gradually upload all of those images. Feel free to download, distribute, share, re-use, and do anything with those images. Just make sure you provide attribution to Moran Cerf.

MEASURING BRAINS

It is easy to know that person is drunk when they are stopped at a police checkpoint, but what if the person is tired...? 

​

Turns out we do not really have a way to test tiredness even though a lot more car accidents are the results of tired-driving than drunk-driving.
